“My artistic practice is a way of engaging with myself — a space for articulating personal meanings and sharing what cannot always be expressed in words. I am concerned with the search for what should not be lost: the ability to love, remember, believe, recognise our own signs, and remain ourselves amidst the chaos of change.

In BLOOM, I focus on fragile and transitional states — moments when the old has already lost its power and the new is only beginning to emerge. This series is not about loss. It is about life that continues to grow through it.”

Kateryna Haneychuk

In 2024, Kateryna Haneichuk, an artist from Lutsk who has since moved to Lviv, presented her exhibition My Synopsis at the Zelena Kanapa Gallery. It was there that several works from the Bloom series were shown for the first time. This series, born from the experience of inner transformation, has since evolved into a new project that will be presented at Zelena Kanapa in 2026.

The works are created using stencil printing on paper, canvas, and plywood. Bright colours and botanical forms also became the foundation for a collection of scarves created especially for this occasion.

The exhibition opening will take place on June 23 at 18:00.

Kateryna Haneychuk

Ukrainian artist, curator, designer and teacher. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. First director of the Korsak Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art in Lutsk and founder of the Art Cluster art studio.
Education:
• 1995 — bachelor’s degree, Lviv State College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after Ivan Trush (artistic ceramics);
• 2001 — master’s degree, Lviv National Academy of Arts (interior and furniture design);
• 2022 — training course for curators, SKVOT school.

Author of 20 solo exhibitions and 12 curatorial projects.
The artist works with textiles, glass, levkas, vybykoy, photography, object and installation, she combines traditional techniques with modern artistic practices.

Kateryna Haneychuk’s works are kept in the collections of the Korsak Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art and the Art Museum in Lutsk, the National Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Art (Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Kyiv), the National University “Ostroh Academy” and the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.
