Rostyslav Luzhetskyy. Landscape. Return. 26.05 – 21.06.2026

Rostyslav Luzhetskyy (born in 1970) is an artist, public figure, one of the co-founders of the Komora Publishing House (Kyiv). Born in Lviv in an artistic family, he studied painting at Karl Zvirynskyi’s home school. Graduated from Lviv Academy of Arts (1993) and Kyiv National University of Cinema and Television (2003). Works in easel painting, graphics and graphic design. He was among those pioneers of modern Ukrainian book design, collaborated with publishing houses in Ukraine, Lithuania, Romania, Netherlands, Norway, Great Britain, USA. Participant of many nathional and iInternational exhibitions, cultural and artistic projects, festivals, forums and public discussions (among his initiatives, in particular, are the ProSvit project of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, several projects of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, the National Memorial Complex of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred – the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity, etc.).
As an artist, he employs original techniques, notably combining painting with sculptural elements. In his work, he explores important socio-political and historical themes, including the role of figures like Hryhory Skovoroda, Taras Shevchenko et al. in the current formation of Ukrainian identity, and the impact of historical events like Maidans and war upon our present-day reality.
