Respecting the traditions. Oleksandra Bilobran exhibition. 28.04- 24.05.2026
The artist Olesya Bilobran began her path in painting later. At first, a graduate of the clothing design department at LNAM, she worked in fashion design, was an art manager of several gallery projects, in particular “Yarovit” 2007–2013, “Lemish” 2011–2012, and always dreamed of painting. She was supported by Borys Buryak – a painter who also has a talent for mentoring.
Today, Oleksandra, as a mother and an artist, in a way natural to her, and also through a focus on Ukrainian identity in society, began to depict female images characteristic of classical Ukrainian art. Her woman embodies great love, protection, reliability, and faith. She is the guardian of traditions.
Before this series, Oleksandra Bilobran mainly worked on landscapes, and now female images appear in a rural natural environment.
The exhibition will feature 13 new works from the series “Honoring Traditions,” which the artist has been creating since 2023. This series already includes about a hundred canvases, and they have been presented at group exhibitions in Paris, Lutsk, and Lviv, as well as at two solo exhibitions in Austria.
