Anna Lysyk “Night before dawn”. 31.03 – 26.04.2026
Anna Lysyk doesn’t make exhibitions often. The last time her common exhibition with her father’s works, who’s a famous artist and set designer Yevhen Lysyk, took place back in 2020. And there’s nothing strange about it, looking at how meticulous and laborious ceramic objects she creates.
Each three-dimensional ceramic work Anna covers in small graphics with ornaments, or an artistic plot created with pigments, enamels and different ancient methods, which are preserved by artists for thousands of years by practicing them.
Anna Lysyk creates timeless things by following her philosophy of thoughtful reflections on life.
This time Anna has combined more than 10 of the newest works, created during 2020-2026, named “Night before dawn”.
How Anna writes about it:
“Anyone who has ever stayed awake at night knows: the hardest hours come at dawn, when the blackness of the night seems the densest, and the soul feels its loneliness and loss in the boundless world more acutely than ever. In these heavy, leaden hours, it seems that time has stopped and the night will never pass. And suddenly a miracle happens – the birds begin to sing. Their voices are lonely and timid at first. But every moment the song grows, grows stronger. And now the invisible construction of the symphony rises into the sky, fills the space. And the sky itself is already filling, raging blue, the darkness is receding, a new day is coming. The day that we are all so waiting for.”
An exhibition by Anna Lysyk “Night before dawn” is opening on 31st of March at 18.00.
Will last until 26 of April of 2026.
The entrance is free.
