Lilia Studnytska, Earth, that looking for the Light. April, 4-30, 2025

In 2012, Lviv artist Liliya Studnytska held her first personal exhibition in our gallery. Since then, we have been delighted to follow her artistic journey and occasionally host her exhibitions, the most recent one being in 2021.
Today, Liliya is an experienced artist who has remained true to herself, continuing to work with bold, expressive painting characterized by rich and vibrant colors.
Here’s how the artist describes her new exhibition:
“Earth is not just a place where we live. It is a source of infinite beauty.
My new project, “The Earth Seeking Light,” features dynamic, expressive landscapes that depict how everything around us awakens, breathes, and falls asleep. It is a blooming fusion of color and form, tonal experiments that create unique visual effects. This is my perception of nature’s active life—its dynamism, rhythm, and movement.
Each landscape I create is a search for light during these difficult and gloomy years for all of us. It is not only an observation of nature but also an attempt to express what is fleeting or seemingly insignificant at first glance—yet gives us the strength to move forward.
This exhibition is my interpretation of how the Earth tells us its story, from the first rays of spring sunshine to the quiet slumber of winter.”
The exhibition will feature about 20 new paintings, the largest of which will be 2×2 meters.
The opening is scheduled for March 4 at 6:00 PM.
Admission is free.
Exhibition hours: 12:00–7:00 PM, closed on Mondays.
