Yustyna Senchyk. Symbols and Silhouettes.

Is human being able to comprehend the fact, that an art is opening a path to direct dialogue between the traditions of the past and modern times, which is changing incessantly? Tapestries of this exhibition are becoming mediators in this dialogue. The past is having conversations with the present using language of symbols and silhouettes. The unique code is getting formed – incatchable for depiction, but its imagery is mesmerizing, and it’s revealed through the form, texture and a color.
Exhibition is revealing textile as an artistic expression. It’s inviting in a world of woven symbols and silhouettes, which tell the story of cultural inheritance and modern experiments.
In the first personal exhibition of her career, Yustyna Senchyk from Lviv will present around 12 large-format.

Yustyna Senchyk — ukrainian artist, born in 1991. gradueded the Ivan Trush Lviv Professional College of Decorative and Applied Arts. And Lviv National Academy of Arts. Her works of art were presented on group exhibitions both in Ukraine and abroad, attracting attention to modern textile art and folk traditions in new forms.
From 2013, Yustyna is taking part in international projects, triennale and exhibitions of art textile in Lviv, Hlynyany, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv and also, biennale in Krosno (Poland, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2024).
Works of an artist are contained in public collection of polish museum “Muzeum Rzemiosla w Krosnie”.
