The best artist among medical workers in Lviv, Solomiia Kovtun, returns after a long break with an exhibition titled “Color of Home” at the Green Sofa Gallery.

Since the start of the full-scale war, the question of Home has become crucial for all Ukrainians. No matter where we are, our homes, our walls have become a sacred image for us.

Solomiia Kovtun has always painted Lviv architecture. Her depiction of the city is very touching and unique, not a sweet embellished picture for tourists — but deeply loved buildings, like children love their parents, with gratitude and acceptance.

This exhibition, created almost entirely during these years of war, will feature houses from Bortnyanskoho Street, which the artist walks daily, as well as other old houses that evoke a sense of «déjà vu» in her, as if she had lived in them in a past life.

There will also be various almost abstract interiors where Solomiіa Kovtun showcases her talent as a colorist.
