Oleksandr Vasylenko “2022 Spring”. 28/06/ – 25/07/2022
Oleksandr Vasylenko from Dnipro is presenting artistic images of landscapes in Ukraine during the peacetime and war.
The monumental landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains and the urban landscapes of the Dnipro became the motifs of expressionist works in oil paints. Black and white graphics are the new works written in the spring of 2022.
It conveys the artist’s impressions of the explosions in his hometown, the loud night sirens in the dark rooms of the stations, the people beaten by the war, the stories of eyewitnesses who saw the horrors of war, the tears of women weaving camouflage nets in the cold for their sons who are protecting the country.
