Maya`s Garden. Jewelry exhibition by Maya Kotelnytska. 10.03 – 05.04. 2020
For over ten years the Lviv artist and the jeweler Maya Kotelnitskaya has been making jewelry in her own hands and in her own workshop. During this time, her works have gained considerable popularity among fans of non-trivial, designer jewelry in Ukraine and abroad.
Kotelnytska is a participant of many jewelry exhibitions and festivals. In 2016 a personal exhibition of her jewelry took place at the “Green Sofa” Art Gallery.
Her jewelry are eagerly used by stylists in photo shoots for glossy magazines, including Pink, Harper`s Bazaar, Vogue, Grazia and others. They write articles about her as an interesting designer, take master classes from her as a successful brand founder.
Maya Kotelnytska in her work is inspired by natural motives, often by the style of Secession, Bauhaus and she always remains herself. “Unrefined” metal processing, the use of glass droplets, unburdened pebbles, smooth lines and natural forms make Kotelnytska’s style very “vegetal”.
Kotelnytska grows her artificial garden of earrings, rings and pendants with attention and consistency, constantly improving the style and functionality. Women want to blossom themselves with all this!
At this exhibition Maya will show her new work with new material – hot enamels.
Enamel technology dates back to Byzantine times and is difficult because of the multilayer application and firing of vitreous powder. Enamels allow you to create a picturesque image and deep rich color on a plane that is valued at least as precious in jewelry. Enamel products make jewelry even more artistic.
