Lviv artist Yaryna Movchan represents the first biography solo exhibition at the gallery walls.

“Penetration” is a concept of works for the exhibition. According to Yaryna Movchan , this is the interpenetration of the spiritual and metaphysical level. Between people and their influence on each other, the penetration of philosophy and faith in life, outside of conscious of human being, dreams and mood, society and individuals, etc …

Yaryna was born in Lviv (1982), graduated from Lviv Art College named after Ivan Trush ,  the department of textiles and the Academy of Arts, the mother of two children and wife of the iconographer – Danylo Movchan. Danylo encouraged her to learn the technique of sacred painting – tempera and gesso on board. In this technique  Yaryna creates extraordinary emotional compositions with a delicate flavor, with symbolism and stylization characteristic of iconography. Although this exhibition will present portraits of St. Clement, Varvara and Gleb, the artist insists that they are not the icons. Among the portraits will be the Yaryna’s self-portrait and the portrait of Danylo Movchan.

Most of the works are small round format, 15-16 pieces, which are created in 2017. Yaryna has participated in many group exhibitions in the “Green Sofa”. In 2012 art lovers could see her works at solo exhibition in the  “Viennese buns” cafe  which was on the Cathedral street.

Yaryna Movchan was born in Lviv in 1982.
1999 – 2003 studied at Lviv College of Decorative – Applied Arts named after I. Trush.
2003 – 2009 – studied  at Lviv National Academy of Arts.
2007- non-competition party International Youth Symposium of Textile Arts “ArcheNytkaNovo”
