SILK AND LINEN. Art textille exhibition. Dariya Zavyalova, Olena Zotova, Violina Darenska. 13.10.- 1.11.2015

Non-actual textile

…Silk and linen are not only favourite media of the authors, they also embody gold and silver of the textile world, two sides of noble nature, two achievements of ancient civilizations as valuable as the Pyramids and tiny porcelaine…But the most important is the attitude to the material – with love and respect, firm declaration and denial of the idea of disappearing the media.

And the same firm idealogical exploitation of old-fashioned techniques as embroidery, tapestry and knitting. It is a sort of a game – to tell the story with words sometimes sentimentally, sometimes with irony.

“Textile for the three of us is  like an oasis of dreams, memories and escape from work to the mystic garden of beautiful but crazy theatre.
