“Museum. Sculpture of 90-s.” Third exhibition of project “Museum”. June 30 – July 19, 2015

The “Museum”

Project started at 2011 with group exhibition “Museum. Paintings 90-s” “(Published catalog)
May 21 – June 9, 2013 – The Second exhibition dedicated easel graphics – “Museum. Graphic arts of 90-s.”
June 30 – July 19, 2015 – will be the third exhibition project that demonstrates the cohort of the best Lviv sculptors 90s, which are  worthy of place in the Museum of Modern Art of the Lviv city.

Oleg Kapustyak

Born in 1962 in Lviv.
Education: Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts.
Lives and works in Lviv.

Oleg is a member of more than 50 group and solo exhibitions in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Germany, Holland, Denmark, and France.

Yaroslav Motyka

Born in 1943 in Ternopil region.

He graduated from the Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Art.
Shevchenko Prize winner. Author of many monuments, memorials in Lviv. 1986 awarded Vasyl Stus Prize. The winner of the International Competition “Renaissance – 91”, Lviv (I prize)
His works are in the museum collections of the Lviv Art Gallery: sculptural portraits of Boris Voznytsky, Yaroslava Musycka, Petro Shatkivskyi, Roman Selskyi, potters. And also in the collections of the Museum of Ethnography and Crafts, Lviv National Museum, the Museum of Modern Art at Hlybochytska street in Kiev.

Biography:
“I opened his eyes to this world in the early sixties of the last millennium.
I graduated from high school of applied art in Lviv. I studied under prominent figures of the era of socialism for which I am sincerely grateful.
I have big plans for the third millennium.

Volodymyr Odrekhivsky

sculptor, working in the areas of monumental, decorative and easel sculpture.
Honored Artist of Ukraine (1999). People’s Artist of Ukraine (2009). Head of the department of monumental and decorative sculpture Lviv National Academy of Arts (2014). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1984). Masters of Arts (1985). Winner Regional Award Lviv regional state administration in the arts named after I.Trush (2005).

The creative works of the artist – more than 50 of easel and 250 monumental works that established in Ukraine and abroad. Shevchenko monuments in Athens (Greece, 2010) and Sevastopol (2003), the monument (Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Lesya Ukrainka) in Stry Lviv region. (1995), Park composition “Family” (France, 2007), “Dream” and “Waiting” in Villyen Hal, Sur Seine (France, 1999).

Vasyl Yarych

Honored Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and Ukrainian Artists Club .
Born on 09.29.1951 in the village Great Tur`ya Ivano-Frankivsk region.
1979 – Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Art.
Works in easel and monumental sculpture.
Participant of group exhibitions in Ukraine, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Luxembourg, Belgium and Lithuania.
Personal exhibitions in Ukraine, Germany, USA.
The monument, in particular in Lviv: King Danylo monument and “Prosvita”. A number of monumental works made in France.
Repeatedly attained prizes and awards for the best sculptural works.
Yarych works are in the collections of many museums in Ukraine.
Jaroslav Yuzkiv

Born on January 2, 1955 in Dolina, Ivano-Frankivsk region. 1981 graduate of the Department of Ceramics in Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative
art. Yaroslav is a Member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, member of the Club of Ukrainian
Artists. Works in the field of monumental and easel sculpture.
From 1980 regularly takes part in various local,
national and international exhibitions, competitions, creative pleins.
His works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad,
NGOs collections and museums. Yaroslav Yuz`kiv Competitive projects of
monuments to Taras Shevchenko and Danilo Galickyi to Lviv
marked incentive and third prizes. Diplomas awarded its
work at exhibitions Autumn Salon “High Castle 97” and “Carpathian
Ridge 97 “. In 2011 awarded honorary diploma of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine “For contribution to the development of national culture.” And in 2013 a diploma for the best work in the category “fashioned plastic” in Spring salon (Lviv Art Palace).

He lives in Lviv.
