A lvivian sculptor and ceramist by education, Olena Khomiakova is going to present her fifth solo exhibition of jewellery in the Green Sofa gallery.
She is a unique author in Ukraine. Her earrings, rings or lockers are in fact exquisite miniature sculptures. Her design is the best sample of supercontemporary author’s design widespread in the countries such as Great Britain, Sweden and The Netherlands…
Olena doesn’t only keeps her pace in tune with fashionable trends, but in most cases she is far ahead. For instance in 2001 Khomiakova started working with enamels on ceramics in metals that are so in trend today.
As an artist and a producer Olena Khomiakova faces lots of challenges of underdeveloped market of exclusive design in our country. she has already overcome lots of difficulties and was even thinking about quitting her craft…
