“Fifth season”. Exhibition of Ivan & Oksana Protsiv. 4-23 of November 2014
November welcomes the fifth season into the Green Sofa Gallery! – The Fifth Season is the name of carnival time.
Bright aesthetics of carnivals, costumes, masks and mysterious fun was always attractive for artists and promised lots of inspiration. Ivan Protsiv – a master and aesthete – presents 10 carnival works on this exhibition. The rest four seasons allegorically depicted are presented by his wife – Oksana Protsiv. Her autumn, spring, summer and winter are feminine images on paper. Undoubtedly, The Fifth Season will become a long awaited decoration of the gloomy November for all fans of the Green Sofa Gallery and the artistic couple.
Ivan Protsiv was born in 1958 in the village Kniazholuka, Ivano-fcrankivsk. He graduated Lviv Art collage named after Ivan Trush in 1977 and Lviv Art Academy in 1984. He got a degree in designing of interiors. He is a member of Union of Artists in Ukraine. His speciality is graphics and sacral art ( Church of Saint Anna in Lviv and Church of Vasilians in Zolochiv)
Since the 1986 he is an active participant of more than 20 regional and international exhibitions. He is also the author of 10 personal exhibitions in Kiev, Lviv, Toronto, Shanghai, Hangzhou. 2009 – “The women of the world” solo exhibition in Green Sofa Gallery.
.Honoured person in Arts in Ukraine. A lot of his works are posessed by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
Oksana Protsiv was born 1961 in Chymkent (Kazakhstan).
In 1984 graduated from Lviv State Institute of Applied Arts (now Lviv National Academy of Arts). Since 1992 presents his works at exhibitions.
Oksana is participant of regional, national and international exhibitions.

Engaged easel drawing, painting and icon painting. His works are in galleries and private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Canada, Poland, Holland. Lives and works in Lviv.
The works were made in the original technique: paper, silk, ink, watercolor.
