The globalization along with the spread of Hollywood mass culture caused the creation of a “new religion ” and almost everyone is involved  – we believe in Christ, go to church, follow the superstitions, do yoga and meditate, listen to lectures on trans-surfing and consider the book «Eat. Love. Pray» and the film «Secret» as new Bible. An artist and a poet Svitlana Semaniv is a bright example – she dedicates her works to Angelina Jolie and Olena Rerich, she cites Holy Bible and Уelena Blavatskaya. She accompanies her paintings with the poems and comments and she even wrote a book “The voice of a universe”.

Svitlana believes in what she is doing sincerely and naively and she describes her mission like the following: «Mother Earth is exhausted and ill. we have to heal it with our desire for Light. And this is the aim of creativity. But since everyone has their own spiritual way it is better to write and paint about it – but not speak.»

Svitlana Semaniv was born in Ivano Frankivsk. She studied in the Art School there. She lives and works in Kalush. She published her book “The Voice of the Universe” in 2013. She is in love with art because she was born in Western Ukraine where the traditions of folk art and crafts are preserved through generations.
