10-22th of June the Green Sofa Gallery presents a personal exhibition of photoartist Alla Simutina “Lviv a place of residence”. Lviv is such a perfect location for photographers that everybody, who has got a little of imagination and knowledge about composition wants to take a camera and create their own photos of Lviv. Frankly speaking there are a lot of photographers and exhibitions in Lviv, we are used to Lvivian architecture in the photos.

How can Simutina impress us?

The answer to this question is in the name of the exhibition – “Lviv is a place of residence “– this is how the photographer sees it. She does not idealize it, and she does not try to show it in ruins, she does not make it look more beautiful or glamorous and she does not appeal to nostalgia. Lviv is taken as if it was an interior of home, not for a glossy magazine, but in fragments, for you.
