On the 20th of May the Green Sofa Gallery invites you to the opening of the exhibition that will possibly haunt your soul leaving there the feeling of Deja vu. Deja vu is the name of personal exhibition of Sergiy Reznichenko.

Although absolutely brand new paintings will be presented there, you will feel that you are already acquainted with them, you either already saw them in the museum, or in the artistic literature… Why do you get such impression? Because Sergiy is a real post-traditionalist in painting. Long ago, having come from a small village he became the youngest student in the most prestigious art collage named after Mukhina. He impressed the teachers during the entrance exams and evoked the same feeling of deja vu. There he was compared to the young Konchalovskiy.

And now creativity of Sergiy is constantly respected by colleagues, it is approved by art critics and is extremely loved by the public.

“The longer you peer into these canvases, the deeper they drag you into their reality, tempting you with the spider nets of fleeting associations, with labyrinths of deja vu, multi layered patchworks of dreams… Almost unfelt reverences of the author towards the old masters and impressionistic cast of facture here serves as the only method of casting one film of complex world upon the other on a couple of metres of separate piece of canvas “
Nataliya Kosmolinska. A journalist.
